About Us
Our Chapter
The West Fields Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution was founded in 1921 as the eleventh chapter of the New Jersey Society Sons of the American Revolution. We are a nonpartisan, patriotic American heritage organization whose members trace their family lineages to men who fought for or otherwise supported the American Revolution. The West Fields Chapter is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Through fellowship, historical awareness, and public involvement, the chapter works to preserve the memory of these patriots and to promote an appreciation of the sacrifices and principles that helped shape the founding of the United States.
Our Mission
Our mission, like that of our state organization, the New Jersey Society Sons of the American Revolution, and our national organization, the National Society Sons of the American Revolution, is to honor our patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving our communities, supporting education, and inspiring future generations about our country’s founding principles, which strive to create a just society for all. We pursue this mission through historical preservation, public education, commemorative activities, and civic engagement, encouraging a deeper understanding of the American Revolution and its lasting impact on our nation’s values, institutions, and freedoms.
