Commemoration of the Battles of Connecticut Farms and Springfield

Join the New Jersey DAR and NJSSAR on June 14 in Springfield for festive commemorations of two historic local Revolutionary War battles in which the British and Hessians were turned back by a mix of NJ militia and Continental soldiers.

About the event
This joint DAR-SAR ceremony begins in Battleground Cemetery, Springfield, then proceeds with a march up Mountain Avenue to First Presbyterian Church on Morris Avenue for a wreath laying and additional honors at the Minuteman Statue. Following the two ceremonies, there will be free hot dogs and ice cream, Colonial reenactors and a Liberty Tree Dedication at the Cannon Ball House, 126 Morris Avenue. Please park at 150 Morris Avenue.
